Taiwo Awoniyi nominated for EPL Player of the Month award
Nigeria and Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi has been nominated for the EPL Player of the Month award for August, after a superb start to the season.
Awoniyi has scored three goals and provided one assist in four games so far, including a goal contribution in every game.
He was particularly impressive in the game against Chelsea before the international break, where he provided the assist for Anthony Elanga’s winner.
The 26-year-old is one of six players nominated for the award, alongside Manchester City midfielder Rodri, West Ham winger Jarod Bowen, Tottenham midfielder James Maddison, Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo, and Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma.
In the manager of the month category, Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta, Jurgen Klopp, David Moyes , and Ange Postecoglou have been nominated.
