Army kills Boko Haram-ISWAP fighters in Borno
Troops of the Nigerian Army have killed several members of the Islamic State West Africa Province and Boko Haram terrorist groups in Borno State.
According to a statement released on Tuesday by the army, troops of 402 SF Brigade recovered a large cache of weapons, bombs, one Mowag APC, one TCV amongst others, during the operation.
It read, “In continuation of NA clearance operations & dominating the battlefield, troops of 402 SF Brigade yesterday 21 Feb 2022 neutralized several ISWAP/BHT terrorists at Timbuktu Triangle in Borno State.
“Troops recovered a large cache of Weapons, Bombs, 1 Mowag APC, 1 TCV amongst others.
“The terrorists withdrew in disarray due to troops’ superior firepower. Several operational vehicles of the terrorists were recovered.”
