However, Liverpool, Arsenal and Villa who are represented by Egypt’s Mohammed Salah, Mohammed Elneny and Mahmoud Ahmed Ibrahim Hassan, commonly known as Trézéguet, respectively, joined the celebrations.
The Premier League clubs reacted in separate posts on their verified Twitter handles.
Liverpool will be welcoming either Senegal’s Sadio Mane or Salah, as an AFCON winner or runner-up, after both of their players made it to the final with their respective national team.
“Egypt into the FINAL! Sadio vs. Mo in the #AFCON2021 final. Proud of you both,” The Reds tweeted.

The Teranga Lions will face the Pharaohs at the 60,000-seater Olembe Stadium in Yaoundé in the final on Sunday.
