JUST IN: Buhari off to London on two-week medical trip

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), will on Tuesday proceed on a two-week medical trip to London in the United Kingdom.

The development is coming at a time physicians under the aegis of Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors have declared their intention to commence a strike on April 1.

The news about Buhari’s medical trip was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina titled “President Buhari billed for routine medical check-up in London.”

Adesina stated that the president was expected back in the country in the second week of April after what he called “a routine medical check-up.”

“President Muhammadu Buhari proceeds to London, the United Kingdom, Tuesday, March 30, 2021, for a routine medical check-up.

“The President meets with Security Chiefs first in the morning, after which he embarks on the journey.

“He is due back in the country during the second week of April 2021.”
