OFFICIAL: West Brom sack Slaven Bilic as coach

After helping West Bromwich Albion secure their return to the Premier League, the Baggies have officially sacked Slaven Bilic.

The Croatian’s sack came after a poor run of form that saw the Baggies win only one game out of 13, losing eight and drawing four.

Bilic was fired despite securing a 1-1- draw at the Etihad against Manchester City on Tuesday night, the club’s first point against them since playin 0-0 in December 2011.

with Sam Allardyce likely to replace him as head coach at The Hawthorns.

“Albion would like to thank Slaven and his coaching staff for their efforts in achieving promotion last season and wishes them all well in the future,” read a club statement.

The 52-year-old who succeeded Darren Moore on a two-year contract last summer and led the club to promotion in his first season in charge, has already had his fate sealed before the City game.
According to local media, Bilic is set to be replaced with former Baggies’ coach, Sam Allardyce.
