Former Vice President Atiku Abubarkar gave a classical ‘shut up’kind of response to popular internet satirist, Dr. Njakiri Damages on Wednesday.
Dr. Damages, as he is popularly known, accused Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello and Atiku of nepotism because according to him, the Niger State governor was proposing to marry Atiku’s Daughter.
“Niger state governor, Abubakar Bello, to Marry Atiku’s Daughter. See, nepotism is a natural phenomenon,” he had twitted without tagging Atiku.
But in a swift response, Atiku had replied him via a retweet with a humbling response.
The former VP tweeted, “#Smile The groom is the governor’s younger brother. In my culture, the groom doesn’t come asking, his elders do.”
The US-based Nigerian satirist had to quickly wriggle out of the situation with his next tweet, after his fans started pointing out that he had been schooled.

Ok, bloggers misled me. Junior brother of Niger State governor to marry Atiku’s daughter. Soon he will be a name in tomorrow’s nepotism.
