Photos of four Chinese men rescued from kidnappers in Rivers
Four Chinese workers kidnapped in Cross River State about three weeks ago from their company in Akamkpa have regained their freedom, while 11 suspected cultists were arrested during initiation.
This was disclosed on Sunday by the state Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Ugbo. She said the Chinese were rescued in Akpabuyo by a combined team of security operatives.
“Police and other security agencies in collaboration with the state government have secured the release of the Chinese nationals in Akpabuyo,” she said in a terse statement without giving further details.
