Dortmund wallop Man Utd as Mourinho suffers first defeat
After an unimpressive 2-0 win over Wigan over the weekend, Manchester United today suffered 4-1 defeat against Borrusia Dortmund in a pre-season match.
It was Jose Mourinho’s second game in charge of the Red Devils.
The match was played at 80,000 capacity Shanghai Stadium on Friday.
New signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan lined up against his former club, while Shinji Kagawa faced the Red Devils.
The Germans rolled over United with goals from Castro (20th and 86th minutes) Aubameyang (36th minute), and Dembele (57the minute).
United’s lone goal came in the 59th minute after Mata played former Dortmund man, Mkhitarayan, through on goal, for him to slot into an empty net.
