It’s Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Saidu Muhammed, made the disclosure in a statement obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria in Kano.
Muhammed disclosed that 15 died and property worth N154 million were destroyed by fire within the period.
He noted that the service received 86 rescue calls and 52 false alarms from residents.
He attributed the fire incidents to road accidents, the use of inferior electrical materials; the use of boiling rings, as well as poor handling of electrical appliances, cooking gas, and fireplace, were the major causes of the inferno.
The PRO advised the general public to patronize high-quality electrical materials in handling anything that involves fire to avert fire outbreaks.
