14-year-old commits suicide in Delta
A 14-year-old teenager (yet to be identified) has reportedly committed suicide in polokor, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was learnt that the teenager who lives at bright-hope Street with his mother died at polokor bridge after allegedly drank sniper.
The incident occurred on Friday evening at about 4:30 pm.
Multiple sources around the scene said that, “the teenager drank Sniper before coming to polokor.
According to eyewitness,
“The boy (deceased) took snipper, he was an asthmatic patient and he was mentally deranged.
“He left the house complaining to the family that he was tired with life and left the house with a treat to kill himself.
“He was buried yesterday. I don’t know him, but from what I had, his father died many years ago.
“He lives at bright-hope with the mother, nobody knows what happened, the boy just came here and died.”
When contacted for comments, the State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the incident.
“The one they said drank sniper.? Yes, it is confirmed, the family said the boy had mental-illness.”
