Nigeria’s Falconets defeat Canada 3-1 in U-20 Women’s World Cup
Nigeria’s U-20 women’s football team, the Falconets, this afternoon recorded a 3-1 win over Canada at the ongoing FIFA U-20 women’s world cup holding in Papua Guinea.
The Nigerian side had suffered a 6-0 defeat against Japan in their opening game on Sunday.
In their second game played today, November 16, 2016, the Falconents kept their World Cup hopes alive with three cool goals from Chinasa Uchendu, Joy Bokiri and Chinwendu Ihezuo.
Nigeria now must beat Spain in their last group game and also hope result of the game between Canada and Japan is favourable to qualify.
