BBNaija: I’m not sharing my cash prize with ex-housemates, says Mercy
Winner of the 2019 Big Brother Naija: Pepper Dem Gang, Mercy Eke, won’t be giving N1million each to the top final seven housemates.
Mercy in a new media chat disclosed that she does not intend to share her N35 million prize money with any of her ex-housemates.
Winner of the 2001 Big Brother Africa 3 (All-Stars), Uti Nwachukwu, had revealed that he gave $5,000 each from his prize money to three of the top five housemates of that edition.
Mercy, however, says she wouldn’t do such.
When asked if she was going to do what Uti did, Mercy said: “No way, it’s winner takes all.
Meanwhile, Mercy has dismissed insinuations that the N30m cash and other prizes she won as the winner of the show will destroy her romance with fellow housemate, Ike Onyema.
The 26-year-old insisted her relationship with Ike would continue to go on smoothly.
The two were fond of each other in the House.
Waving aside the insinuation that since she was now richer than Onyema, she might want to explore other options. she said,
“I was single before going into the House. But now, you should expect love and friendship (between me and Ike). We would work as partners.
“Money has nothing to do with the love we share. Money has nothing to do with our relationship; it won’t affect us.”
