As Nigerian football fans gear up for the new season of the English Premier League which begins this weekend, energetic singer Teni Apata popularly known as Teni the Entertainer has dropped a bombshell that may enrage Chelsea fans on social media.

The singer described the EPL club as a useless club and denied ever being a fan.

Teni’s damning verdict on Chelsea was prompted by a tweet from one of her fans who had described her as a fan of the London club who are the present holder of the Europa League title.

Teni had taken to Twitter to tweet her anticipation of the new season of the National Basketball Association (NBA), a men’s professional basketball league in North America.

A fan responded to the tweet:

Teni then responded that she is also a football fan but loves basketball too, another fan then declared her as a Chelsea, a claim the singer quickly refuted and announced her disdain for the club.

She tweeted:

In another tweet, Teni described Chelsea fans as people who always argue about nonsense.

She wrote:

Football fans are gradually gathering in the comment section of the tweet to hail and also knock her for her choice.
