Three teenagers believed to be members of a syndicate which allegedly specialises in snatching vehicles in Benin, Edo state, reportedly met their waterloo on Friday after they were gunned down by the police.
The teenagers were said to have been gunned down after engaging the police in a gun battle.
It was gathered that the security operatives had gone after the boys following a distress call from the owner of the car after they snatched his Toyota Venza SUV along Etete road in Benin city the capital of Edo state.

According to a social media user who shared a video of the incident on Instagram, the suspects are under the age of 19.
He wrote:
“Robbers who snatched Venza car along Etete road today in Benin city, unknowing to them that the car has a tracker.
“The owner of the car immediately reported to the police, the car was tracker down at Sapele road along country home road. During the exchange of guns with the police, two died at the spot, one escaped and this particular one (seen being dragged in the video) later gave up at the station.
“According to him they were taking the car to Lagos for sale, these young boys are under the age of 19.”
