BREAKING: Tunisia beat Ghana 5-4 on penalties to reach AFCON 2019 quarter-finals
Tunisia beat Ghana 5-4 on penalties in their Round of 16 match on Monday to advance to the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2019 in Egypt.
The Tunisians had their breakthrough in the 73rd minute after Taha Yassine Khenissi net in Wajdi Kechrida’s cross from the right wing, but Rami Bedoui’s own goal at stoppage time dragged the game into 30 minutes extra time.
The game was forced into a penalty shootout as the scoreline remained at 1-1 after 120 minutes.
