Global impact pastor confirms he officiated Timi Dakolo’s wedding says he’s aware of Busola’s struggle
The senior pastor of global impact church, Yemi Davids, has affirmed that he officiated the church wedding of Timi Dakolo and Busola.
Yemi Davids said and as a friend to the Dakolo’s, he’s been privy to some of Busola’s personal struggle based on the details she expressed at the recent interview.
The Man of God said leaders must be accountable adding that he supports justice, healing and resolution at this matter.
This is coming after Timi Dakolo dismissed purported reports that embattled pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo officiated their wedding and even sent his wife abroad.
Dakolo also stressed that he has never met or been in the space with Fatoyinbo.
Pastor David wrote: “Hmmm I feel the need to do this as a husband, father and Pastor. @busoladakolo got married from our church to @timidakolo and as a friend to the family, I’ve been privy to some of the personal struggle Busola has had over the years, based on the details she expressed at the recent interview. This is her truth and it should be honoured.
“I commend her for her bravery and I pray this helps her healing process. I also noticed that there was a denial of the allegation.
“It is important that the truth comes out. Rape is a serious offense and it is unacceptable. A process that unveils the truth in this hurtful situation in the body must begin immediately.
“We leaders must be accountable and I support at arriving at Justice, Healing and Resolution at this matter. #TruthSetsFree #SayNoToRape.”
WuzupNaija reports that Fatoyinbo had to take a leave of absence from the pulpit following the allegations of rape by Busola Dakolo.
Recall that protesters had stormed COZA churches in Abuja and Lagos demanding that Fatoyinbo be held accountable for his actions.
Just yesterday a former COZA staff had also alleged that Fatoyinbo raped her in 2017 in their home abroad.
In a lengthy interview with Jude Chidenwo of YNaija, the former COZA staff said that she went to Fatoyinbo’s house to discuss church issues adding that it wasn’t the first time she had been going there.
