Award-winning Nigerian author, Chimamanda Adichie, seems not to be resting her oars in her quest for more greatness just yet.
She proved that recently as she was conferred with two honorary doctorate degrees by two United States universities in just one week.
The American University in Washington, DC honoured her on May 11, while the Georgetown University also in Washington honoured her on May 18.
She also delivered commencement addresses at the two universities.
The American University in DC said it honoured Adichie as,
“one of the world’s most powerful voices in fiction”.
The writer took to Instagram to share photos in her ceremonial gown and captioned one of the photos:
“Doctor of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa. Georgetown University”
