2024 Hajj: FCTA urges intending pilgrims to deposit N4.5m
The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has advised prospective pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2024 Hajj to deposit N4.5 million with the board, pending the determination of the actual fee.
In a statement by the Assistant Chief Information Officer of the board, Mr Ahmad Saleh, on Friday in Abuja, the board announced that the sale of forms and registration for the exercise would commence on September 25.
Saleh asked prospective pilgrims to make the payment to the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abuja, through a bank draft.
He also urged them to submit their valid international passports and National Identification Number at the point of registration in any of the six Area Councils in the FCT.
“The board does not accept cash deposits and does not entertain registration by proxy,” Saleh said. “It will also adhere strictly to the principles of first come, first served basis.“
