Veteran Actor Dejumo Lewis passes away at 80
The news of his demise was confirmed by fellow actor Saidi Balogun in an emotional Instagram post, triggering an outpouring of condolences from fans and colleagues alike.
Lewis’s illustrious career in Nollywood earned him acclaim for his versatile acting skills, leaving an indelible mark with memorable performances in movies such as “A Place in the Stars” (2014), “Crossroads” (2020), and “Power of 1” (2018).
Lewis’s significant role is in one of Nigeria’s longest-running television soap operas, “The Village Headmaster.”
Saidi Balogun, expressing the industry’s sorrow, shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram: “Good night DEJUMO LEWIS, may your soul rest in perfect peace. RIP.”
Lewis is survived by children and grandchildren, and his family, along with the entertainment industry, is undoubtedly grieving the loss of a patriarch.
