Arsenal handed fresh injury blow ahead of Sevilla clash

Published

Arsenal have been handed a fresh injury blow ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against Sevilla on Wednesday, with striker Eddie Nketiah forced to miss training on Tuesday.

Nketiah picked up a knock in Arsenal’s Premier League 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United over the weekend, and manager Mikel Arteta may now have to deploy Kai Havertz or Leandro Trossard as his main striker against Sevilla, as Gabriel Jesus is already absent.

Arsenal will be hoping to make it back-to-back wins against Sevilla on Wednesday night, having won 2-1 in the reverse fixture in Spain a few weeks ago. The kick-off time for the match is 9 pm at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are currently top of Group B in the Champions League, with two wins and one loss from their opening three matches.
