Ace rapper and social commentator, Eedris Abdulkareem, has advised the federal government not to only go after armed bandits in Zamfara mining sites but their couriers and middlemen in Dubai.

The singer said this while reacting to the incessant killings and kidnappings of innocent Zamfara citizens by bandits.

Abdulkareem said Gold is a lucrative business in Dubai and most shops are owned by wealthy Nigerians living in the country.

WuzupNaija reports that many have been killed with property worth millions of naira destroyed in attacks by these armed men.

Abdulkareem’s post reads,

“The goodies in Zamfara that people are being killed for while a blind eye is being turned.

“Go to Dubai many shops are owned by Nigerians. There major business supplying this gold. While going after the bandits, go after those in charge of the sites, their Couriers and Middlemen in Dubai.

“The trail is long and the links strong. Hope the political will is there…”

Meanwhile, foreigners operating mining sites in Zamfara State have been given 48 hours to vacate the locations as the Federal Government on Sunday launched an operation to flush out bandits terrorising residents of the state.

The operation had been launched earlier last week to address rising incidents of kidnappings along the Abuja-Kaduna Highway.

This directive is coming as President Buhari Muhammadu Buhari described as “ridiculous,” suggestions in some quarters that he did nothing to stop the killings in Zamfara.

He also appealed to some people whom he claimed were politicising the killings to stop henceforth.

Over the weekend, some concerned Nigerians living in the UK gathered at Nigeria’s High Commission in London to protest killings in Zamfara
