Young John named Apple Music ‘Up Next Artist’ in Nigeria

Singer Udomboso John Saviours, popularly known as Young John, has been named the most recent featured artist in Apple Music’s Up-Next artist programme in Nigeria.
The recognition is coming on the heels of his latest single ‘Dada,’ which helped the 27-year-old transitioned from its conventional status of music producer to an Afrobeat artist to watch out for.
Coming from his background as a music producer, Young John earned his mark in the Nigerian music industry, courtesy of hit songs such as Kizz Daniel’s “Mama,” Mayorkun’s “True,” and Olamide’s “Wo!!,” “Bobo,” “Science Student,” and many more.
The announcement of the Chocolate City Music signee as the Up-Next Artist in Nigeria can also be credited to the success of his recently released EP ‘Love Is Not Enough,’ which is said to be doing great numbers on Apple Music.
While speaking on the feat, Young John said:
“Music has always been an outlet for me. Due to my social anxiety issues, I was only able to express this by producing music for other artists like Olamide, Tiwa Savage, and Kizz Daniel. To have Apple Music Up Next programme’s recognition for the music that I’m producing and releasing as an artist is such a big moment for me. I am thrilled and can’t wait to share even more with my fans.”
Young Jonn will be featured on Apple Music’s Up Next playlist as the newest Up Next act to be spotlighted in Nigeria.
