Yayi wins re-election bid
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Lagos West Senatorial contest, Sen Olamilekan Solomon, popularly know as Yayi has won his reelection bid.
He polled total votes of 323, 817 to defeat his closest rival, Mr Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, of the Peoples Democratic Party who polled total votes of 243,516.
The Lagos West Senatorial District compromises of 10 local government areas, they are Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Oshodi/Isolo, Ojo, Mushin, Ikeja, Ifako-Ijaiye, Badagry, Amuwo/Odofin, Alimoshoand Agege.
