WOMEN ARE VERY INTELLIGENT! If you give them more chance, they will overthrow us – Hon. Kazaure
A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Muhammad Kazaure has expressed his fears over empowering women in national affairs.
The member who represents Federal Constituency Kazaure, Roni, Gwiwa and Yankwashi of Jigawa State aired his views during a recent plenary session.
The viral video which was posted on YouTube showed Hon Kazaure analysing the roles of a woman and emphasizing their usefulness in the homefront.
The debate happened on Thursday, March 8, 2018, in honour of the International Women’s Day.
He said women are very intelligent and most of the time call the shots, however, he expressed his fears in empowering them more.
His colleagues could also be seen laughing at the points Kazaure made. He said,
“Women play a good role in our lives, they take care of our lives, they take care of our children, they cook for us and take care of every single thing for us.
“But one thing I fear Mr Speaker, They control us at home, when we give them the opportunity Mr Speaker, they would control us outside and in the home, they would capture everything,
“That is what I fear Honestly Mr Speaker…
“Most of them are very intelligent, very very intelligent; because you can see a “Chick” and a big man controlled by his wife.
“That is what I observe and I experience in this life because the majority of the big people if you need something, don’t go directly to them.
“If you want to get them…
“When you want to see a man and you go through the wife, you would easily get what you want.
“So if you give them more chance, right there they would overthrow us.”
