Why pastors deserve to be rich even though Jesus wasn’t – Bamiloye
Joshua Bamiloye, the son of Christian filmmaker, Mike Bamiloye, has given a reason why pastors deserve to be rich.
According to him, Jesus went through a lot and was poor so that his followers could be rich.
He shared on Twitter: “Jesus wasn’t rich, so why should you or your pastors be? You say? Just as Jesus died so I might live, carried my sins so I can be set freed, HE also became poor so We could be rich. Stop dat tin.”
Below are some reactions gathered by WuzupNigeria.
@OluwadamilolaNe wrote: “Paul and other disciples were rich as well, yet they weren’t so obsessed with material wealth the way our fathers in faith are… In their days, they shared amongst themselves, with no one lacking anything, but the reverse is the case among our generation of believers.”
@dbjclan wrote: “Jesus was poor so that I may be rich. Yes, even those who are poor monetarily in this world are rich if they have Jesus. Money is good, but the focus is spiritual wealth.”
@Zeemiey wrote: “2Cor 8:9 “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich”.”
