Walcott bangs in three goals as Wenger-less Arsenal spank Southampton at home (video)
Arsenal’s Theo Walcott was firing on all cylinders as Arsenal without the suspended Arsene Wenger, saw off Southampton away from home with five unreplied goals.
The English forward and his national team colleague, Danny Welbeck – who scored the first two goals – were the stars on the night, but Alexis Sanchez and Lucas Perez had a hand in all of the goals converted.
Suspended Wenger watched from the stands as his wards saw off a determined Southampton side at their stadium despite the fact that a second-string Arsenal side was on parade at the St Mary’s.
