VOICE OF THE STREET! Olamide launches TV station to mark birthday
YBNL Records CEO, Olamide Adedeji, has unveiled his TV station named Voice of The Street on Play TV to mark his 29th birthday today.
The award-winning music star popularly called Olamide Baddo was born on March 15, 1989, in Bariga, Somolu.
Olamide had earlier signed a deal with Play TV in February this year but did not disclose what he was up to.
The “Science Student” crooner announced his latest feat on his social media handles and also wrote a lengthy post explaining the significance of today to his fans.
He said he will be giving out 100 decoders to the first 100 people to get to Play TV’s office which is located at 1, Continental Drive, Off CMD Road, Ketu in Lagos.
He wrote about his struggles and determination to be relevant adding that he experienced a lot of hurdles and setbacks in his thirst for fame.
He also thanked his fans for their support all through his music career and said the decoders were fully subscribed for one year as a token of his appreciation.
He wrote,
“It’s been all joy and blessings for me since I started my journey to bring the man I dreamt to be. Though I had a lot of hurdles and setbacks, I kept moving because I was certain of what I had inside of me.
“Today is another special year, marking the beginning of another special year in my life and I also have the privilege of owning a TV channel that would change the face of entertainment in Africa.
“As one of the first African Entertainers to own a channel, I am giving out 100 decoders (PLAY TV) to the first 100 people to get to PLAY TV’s premises today.
“Each decoder comes with a fully paid one-year subscription to say thank you for standing by me. Thank you for your love and support. We shall celebrate more greatness.
