VIRAL VIDEO! Taxify driver who absconded with passenger’s money, arrested three weeks after in Lekki
A Taxify driver was on Tuesday arrested at Lekki Gardens Phase 2, Ajah, Lagos, three weeks after he disappeared with a passenger’s money.
Reports said a passenger mistakenly transferred the sum of N27, 000 to him and when he called him, he refused to answer nor return the money.
It was gathered that the passenger then decided to call him with someone else’s number to order for a ride offline, and he hurriedly showed up at the agreed meeting place.
It was further gathered that when he got there and saw the passenger whose money he had refused to return, he took off again but unfortunately for him, the security guards of the estate had been told not to allow him to go out.
He was subsequently arrested and handed over to the police. He has since been taken to the police station.
