Gospel singer-songwriter, Tope Alabi, left a bride in tears after making an unexpected cameo appearance at her colourful wedding reception.
A video of the singer’s surprise visit has since gone viral on popular micro-blogging site, Twitter.
“Is she here? Where?” the bride kept repeating until she burst into tears while joining the singer to chorus some of her popular songs.
The viral video has earned the ‘Logan Ti O De’ singer a myriad of praises from music lovers online, making the topic ‘Tope Alabi’ one of the top trending gists on Twitter Nigeria on Sunday morning.
Reacting to the viral video, one Muslim user, @tundebadmus459, said Tope Alabi is one of his top three gospel acts.
“As a Muslim, I only have three gospel music I listen to though I don’t know if the third na gospel or juju but I Sha like am. Tope Alabi, Shola Allyson and Yinka Ayefele. That Tope Alabi and Shola Allyson na morning inspirations but Uncle Yinka na for gbe body e thing,” he wrote.
Another user, @mhoyorO, vowed to emulate the crying bride whenever she sees the singer singing her favourite song.
“The day I will see Tope Alabi Ehn.. she has to sing all my favorite songs of her to me one after the other and I will be on my knees all through crying I guess,” she said.
Although an Igbo man, @yekaedozie disclosed that he can’t do without listening to Tope Alabi.
“I’m an Igbo guy but I can’t do without listening to tope alabi. Her music draws me closer to my creator day,” he wrote
Swayed by the surprise wedding appearance, Twitter user, @semiloorexo said, “This would be a dream come true. I really want Tope Alabi or Yinka Ayefele or Kore Kenny at my wedding.”
