VIDEO: Lady allegedly snatches ballot box in Lekki
A Lagos State resident is reportedly on the trail of a lady who allegedly snatched an empty ballot box in the Lekki Phase 1, Eti Osa Local Government Area of the state during Saturday’s LG polls.
FIJ reports that the yet-to-be-identified lady who was last seen on a bike heading to an unknown destination snatched Ballot 018 from a polling unit around Admiralty Way.
The citizen observer who tried to apprehend her said, “I trailed her from Admiralty to one village at the back of Northern Culture Estate, but she escaped before I could park my car.“
She went away with ballots that we had not yet voted with. First, the polling units were all messed up. We took our party agents to where they were supposed to be but we couldn’t find them after an hour. We later found out that they were all inside Oba Elegushi’s palace in Ikate. There are six polling units there.
“There is one polling unit inside the palace that we cannot account for. There were attempts to bribe, discharge or intimidate our agents there. Some people also threatened to slap me.”
