VIDEO: Freed Edo prisoners speak
Some recently released prisoners of the Nigeria Correctional Centre in Edo State, have expressed thanks to those who facilitated their freedom.
Two of the inmates who were seen running amid a crowd of other inmates and protesters spoke in reaction to their recently gained freedom.
One thanked those who released him, while the other said he had been illegally detained for two years.
The first escaped prisoner prostrated on the ground and said:
“God bless una.”
While the second said:
“My IPO Inspector Dele unlawfully detained me for 2years and ate all my money.”
