VIDEO: Ex-miss South African contestant, Chidinma Adetshina wins Miss Universe Nigeria

Ex-miss South African contestant representing Taraba State, Ms. Chidinma Onwe Adetshina, has been officially designated as Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.

The 23-year-old model, a former contestant in South Africa, has emerged victorious in the beauty pageant held today, August 31st, in Lagos State.

She is set to represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico on November 16

Her participation in the recently concluded Miss South Africa contest attracted considerable controversy after she was compelled to withdraw due to issues pertaining to her nationality.

Subsequent to her withdrawal, the organizers of Miss Universe Nigeria proffered an invitation to her, which she graciously accepted on August 14th.

The beauty pageant showcased beauty with the 25 contestants representing their respective states with their remarkable beauty and poise.

However, the competition culminated in a selection of five finalists, which included Miss Taraba Chidimma Adetshina, Miss Anambra Paula Ezendu, Miss Edo Edeifo Brittany, Miss Ondo Ayegbidun Peace Olamide, and Miss Rivers Nyekachi Douglas.

The top three winners were subsequently announced, with Miss Ondo being awarded the title of Miss Lush, Miss Anambra recognized as the first runner-up and Miss Supranational, and Chidinma Adetshina honored as the overall victor.
