VIDEO: 10-year-old boy leads police on high-speed chase with stolen car
The Police have a released a dashcam video of a 10-year-old boy in Cleveland who stole his mother’s car and led Ohio State Troopers on a high-speed car chase.
A video of the incident which happened on Thursday, October 26, 2017, showed Police chasing the car the little boy was driving. The Police eventually double-crossed him.
Cleveland police said the boy took his mother’s car as his sister was getting ready to take them to school and drove off.
The boy’s mother got into her car and chased him. She called 911 and told dispatchers she was following her son as he drove on West 117th Street, then on Interstate 90 westbound.
The video shows the car driving erratically on a highway, several Police patrol cars in hot pursuit.
Apprehended after the car chase, the child kicked and spat at the Police, Upi.com reported.
Police were able to bump the car onto the shoulder, where they surrounded it to keep from going near other drivers. It hasn’t been said if the boy will be charged with a crime.
“Bump him as gently as possible,” a police officer is heard saying in the video.
This wasn’t the first time the boy stole his parent’s car. Earlier this month, he took his father’s car out for a joyride, police said.
The other incident took place on October 16. But he didn’t get far because the car had three flat tires.
