Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has revealed that he would be leading a high-level delegation to the Niger Delta on Monday.
He said the visit is a demonstration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to finding lasting, negotiated solutions to secure the peace and prosperity of the Niger Delta and Nigeria.
Osinbajo made the announcement via his twitter handle on Saturday.
“Starting Monday January 16, I’ll be leading a high-level FG delegation to oil-producing communities interacting with people in three states,” he wrote in a series of three tweets that were retweeted by the president.
“The interactions will start in Delta State and then we proceed to Bayelsa & Rivers States at a later date to be announced soon.”
