Boko Haram: UNIMAID student identified as one of 30 victims burnt in Sunday attack

A student of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) simply identified as Fatima has been named among the 30 people killed by Boko Haram insurgents at the village of Auno near Maiduguri, in Borno State on Sunday.

The terrorists killed 30 people in a raid on the town, 20 kilometres from Maiduguri, the state capital.

The passengers who were en route to Maiduguri were attacked around 10 pm and about 18 vehicles were burnt during the attack, while many persons, including women and children, were abducted.

According to residents of the town, the insurgents stopped over at Auno as a result of the blockade of the road into the state capital.

Fatima, a Mass Communication student of UNIMAID was said to be one of the victims burnt alive by the terrorists.

Some of her friends and well-wishers have taken to Twitter to mourn her demise.
