Unfulfilled prophecies for 2020
Pastors are well known for making prophecies on local and international matters. Many of them have been ridiculed in the past after their prophecies failed to come true.
Others have equally been praised when their prophecies come to be.
However, one might wonder if an explanation is needed for an unfulfilled prophecy when the due season of its fulfilment is passed?
A failed prophecy does not exactly connote that a preacher is fake or otherwise but since they take the praise for a fulfilled prophecy one wonders if it’s unnecessary for them to speak when their prophecies do not come to fruition.
A pastor at Glorious Mount of Possibility Church, Yaba, Lagos, David Elijah, is being ridiculed on social media following his ‘fake’ prophecy that President Donald Trump would win the just-concluded presidential election in the United States of America.
Contrary to Pastor Elijah’s prophesy, former U.S. vice president, Joe Biden, won the historic election, garnering 273 electoral college votes against Mr Trump’s 214.
Mr Biden was elected the 46th president of the United States in his third attempt at the presidency. In the same vein, Kamala Harris is the first woman to be elected U.S. vice president.
Pastor Elijah is yet to give any comments despite the criticism on social media.
However, unlike Pastor Elijah, Bethel Church leader Kris Vallotton took to Instagram to apologize for prophesying that President Donald Trump would win a second term though without any explanation regarding his unfulfilled prophecy.
Kris Vallotton said in his now-deleted video:
“I was wrong. I take full responsibility for being wrong. There’s no excuse for it. I think it doesn’t make me a false prophet, but it does actually create a credibility gap. And a lot of people trust me, trust my ministry and I want to say I’m very sorry for everyone who put their trust in me.”
In the same vein, the coronavirus pandemic has kept many at home with many hoping that it’d end soon.
Amid all of these hopes, popular Nigerian Prophet, T.B. Joshua prophesied that the virus will end the next day being 27th March 2020 at the time. But the case remained the same and got even worse in other parts of the world, well tomorrow is a continuous process and 2020 is not yet over!
The General Overseer of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, Warri, Delta State, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin said God revealed a global war-like disaster/pandemic to him in 2014.
According to the clergyman, he saw it coming, spoke about it, and cried for mercy for the world against the spread of the deadly virus.
He then gave a clear word of Prophecy stating that from that day till 28th April 2020 the virus will be seen to be gradually disappearing from one nation to another the same way it came.
Recall that the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) had said that the nation should get prepared for the second wave of this deadly virus COVID-19, I hope it disappears soon from Nigeria just as the pastor has said.
