PHOTOS: UFC champion Kamaru Usman visits Sanwo-Olu
Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, paid a visit to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, over the weekend.
WUZUPNIGERIA reported how the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ was earlier spotted in Kogi during his scheduled visit to see Yahaya Bello, some days ago, after arriving in Abuja on June 10.
Confirming the visit, Sanwo-Olu shared photos of the UFC champion’s visit on his verified Facebook page on Sunday night where the duo was seen sharing a COVID greeting, describing his story as an inspiration to many young Nigerian.
He wrote: “This evening, I played host to Kamaru Usman, the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Welterweight champion aka “The Nigerian Nightmare” at the State House.
“The story of Kamaru is an inspiration to many Nigerians and a confirmation that we can all succeed in whatever we apply our minds to do.
“As a champion, he is a great ambassador of our country on a global stage. We are proud of his achievements and success and we are convinced he will be a motivation to other young Nigerians who seek to make a great career in mixed martial arts and other sporting activities.”
