Published

The Three Lions of England beat the Red Devils of Belgium 2-1 in the UEFA Nations League group game on Sunday night.

Gareth Southgate’s men fell behind in the 16th minute after former Manchester United striker, Romelu Lukaku got himself on the scoresheet through a penalty.

Marcus Rashford celebrated his MBE award with a goal 23-minutes later to level matters for the English side through the second penalty awarded by the referee in the match.

Both teams were not willing to share the spoils but it was England who had the last laugh when Mason Mount 64th-minute strike deflected through Toby Alderweireld’s leg to find the back of the net giving Simon Mignolet no chance of saving it.

The win sends England straight to the top of the group (B) with seven points as Belgium stay second with six points after three games.
