Two killed in Lagos-Abeokuta road crash
At least two yet-to-be-identified individuals have been killed in a road accident along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
The Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun State confirmed the development in a statement on Saturday.
According to The PUNCH, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun, Mr Ahmed Umar also disclosed that four persons were injured during the auto-crash.
Umar reported that the collision occurred at 6:00 a.m. and involved a Cabster with the license plate KTU 142 XH and a truck with the license plate T-12736 LA.
The sector commander explained that a Nissan vehicle collided with a truck with a flat tire that was parked.
He added that a total of seven men were involved in the accident, of which four were injured, two dead while one person was unhurt.
The sector commander expressed his condolences to the crash victims’ families and urged them to contact the FRSC Itori command for more information.
He advised motorists to avoid parking their vehicles haphazardly along the roadway and added, “If there is a breakdown, proper road signs should be placed to alert oncoming vehicles.”
