Tweeps knock AY over Davido’s comments
A joke by popular comedian Ayo Makun, known as AY, has ignited a storm of reactions amidst the ongoing feud between music star Davido and Amaju Pinnick over an event in Warri.
During an event in Warri where Davido was scheduled to perform, AY was among the celebrities who took the stage. However, his comedic attempt has become a topic of controversy.
In a viral video, AY humorously compared his manhood to Davido’s while addressing the audience.
He jokingly noted that despite having a smaller manhood, Davido had fathered multiple children, whereas it took him 13 years to impregnate his wife, Mabel, despite possessing a “big Warri pr#ck.”
The comedian’s jest, intended for comic effect, has received mixed reactions from Nigerians, with some finding it amusing while others criticized its taste.
Many people did not find such a joke funny. @_Doublestar_ asserted “I can watch 8 AY skits without opening my teeth. Seriously, I don’t know how he managed to come out to the limelight.”
Also, @56Adek commented, “Ay still doesn’t know he’s not a stand-up comedian.”
@_Dannydc concurred “This guy never makes me laugh before, don’t know if I’m the only one.”
– “Na wa o, AY is not funny at all.” – @gere_isaiah
@deolu007 also stated “Why is Nigeria comedy the same since 1960? Can’t believe people pay for such entertainment and find this funny.” –
Furthermore, amidst the controversy, AY’s wife, Mabel Makun, appeared to respond to the criticism directed at her husband.
She shared a post on her Instagram page lamenting the increasing disrespect young people show towards their elders, stating, “The way young people disrespect elders nowadays is really becoming scary. We can do better.”
Mabel’s post also triggered a wave of reactions from netizens, with some supporting her and others urging her to advise AY to apologize for his jest about Davido.
