Türkiye’s national football team arrived in the United States on Tuesday as preparations intensify ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The squad touched down in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where they were received by Türkiye’s Ambassador to the United States, Sedat Onal, and Consul General Resul Sahinol.
The team is scheduled to play one final warm-up match against Venezuela before shifting its complete focus to the World Cup campaign.
Led by head coach Vincenzo Montella, Türkiye will make its first World Cup appearance since 2002. The squad includes key players such as captain Hakan Calhanoglu, Arda Guler and Kenan Yildiz.
Following the friendly against Venezuela, the Turkish team will set up its tournament base in Mesa, Arizona, ahead of its opening Group D fixture against Australia.
The Crescent-Stars will also take on Paraguay and tournament co-hosts the United States as they aim to secure a place in the knockout stage from a competitive group.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup, jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, will feature an expanded 48-team format and run from June 11 to July 19.
