Here are some of the top transfer stories in the European League as the transfer window is still wide open for trading.

 

MATTHIJS DE LIGT

Juventus have made an initial offer for Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt worth in the region of £58.3m, according to Sky in Italy.

The proposed bid would see Ajax receive £49.3m up front, with £9 m in add-ons. Juventus have already agreed a five-year contract worth £10.7m-a-season with De Ligt’s agent, Mino Raiola.

Ajax want £67.3m for the 19-year-old Netherlands centre-back and have already received an offer matching their valuation from Paris Saint-Germain.

 

LUKAKU

Inter Milan are reportedly “all out” to sign Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.

Speaking after a meeting with Inter chiefs in Milan on Wednesday night, his agent Federico Pastorello admitted the two clubs are in talks over the potential transfer of the 26-year-old Belgium international.

The Serie A club have identified Lukaku as their main target for the summer transfer window and are keen to bid for a two-year loan deal worth £10m with an obligation to buy for a total of £60m next year.

 

TREZEGUET TO VILLA?

Aston Villa are preparing an £8 million move for Egypt forward Trezeguet, The Sun reports.

Trezeguet scored the opening goal at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.

It’s thought the lure of Premier League football could convince the 24-year-old to leave Turkish club Kasimpasa.

OSPINA

Former Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has joined Serie A club Napoli on a permanent transfer, following a season on loan at the Serie A side.

The Colombian international made 70 appearances in five years at Arsenal and has three FA Cup winners’ medals to boast.

 

ICARDI

Meanwhile, Juventus are also ready to step up their pursuit of Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter are ready to sell the Argentine this summer and want around £50m in order to finance a move for Manchester United striker

 

GRIEZMANN

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann will sign a five-year contract with Barcelona, according to Marca.

The La Liga champions are poised to trigger the France international’s £107 million buyout clause to bring him to the Camp Nou.

 

MARCELO

Brazil international Marcelo is opening to the idea of leaving Real Madrid this summer, according to Sport.

He has reportedly received offers to leave the Bernabeu, and the interest has convinced him to move on.

Arsenal, Ac Milan, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are all thought to have lodged their interest in Marcelo.
