A woman lost her life after being crushed by a train at the Agbarho community train station in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The incident unfolded at approximately 21:48 pm on Saturday.

According to Daily Post, the victim was among the passengers who had disembarked from the train but realized she had left behind an item.

In an attempt to retrieve her belongings, the woman started running after the departing train.

Eyewitnesses recounted the unfortunate sequence of events, stating that the woman stumbled backward while in pursuit of the train.

As she tried to rise from the fall, the moving train tragically crushed her, resulting in severe injuries and the scattering of her body parts.

The incident occurred at the Agbarho train station, and at the time of reporting, the train was en route to the Ujevwu train station.
