Tottenham terminate Serge Aurier’s contract by mutual consent

Ivory Coast international, Serge Aurier, is officially a free agent after reaching a mutual agreement to terminate his Tottenham contract.

The Lonndon club made the announcement on Tuesday night as the transfer window closes.

Signed from PSG in August 2017, Serge made his debut in our 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League before going on to make 110 appearances for us, scoring eight goals.

Serge said: “I have really enjoyed my time at Spurs and would like to thank the Club and the fans, but I feel now is the right time for me to move onto a new challenge.”

“We thank Serge for his service and wish him well for the future,” Spurs said.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have signed a replacement for the Ivorian, Brazilian right-back, Emerson Royal form Barcelona.

The 22-year-old Brazilian signed a five-year deal worth £26m and will wear the No12 shirt most-recently worn by Joe Hart.
