Tinubu not worried about election tribunal verdict – Presidency
As the Presidential Election Petition Court prepares to deliver its judgment on Wednesday, the Presidency has stated that President Bola Tinubu is not anxious about the court’s decision.
Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, emphasized that President Tinubu is not worried because he is confident that he won the election.
Speaking on the Politics Today program, Ngelale stated, “He (Tinubu) is not worried simply because he knows he won the election.”
Ngelale also stressed that President Tinubu has no reason to threaten judicial officers. Instead, he believes that the judiciary is well-positioned to make impartial decisions based on the facts of the case.
He expressed the President’s faith in the integrity of the Nigerian judicial system and the competence of the judges involved in the case.
“The President sees no need to threaten judicial officers. He sees no need to cast doubts on the integrity of judicial officers; he believes in the sanctity and integrity of the Nigerian judicial system, and he trusts that the distinguished men and women on the panel will make their decisions solely based on the facts presented before them,” Ngelale remarked.
He further reiterated the President’s commitment to upholding the respect and integrity of Nigeria’s institutions, regardless of the judgment’s outcome.
