President Bola Tinubu arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, on Wednesday ahead of the 13th Africa CEO Forum, which is set to commence on Thursday.

The Nigerian leader was welcomed at the Presidential Wing of Kigali International Airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, alongside Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda.

This development was disclosed in a statement released on Wednesday by the Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga.

Among other dignitaries present to receive the President were the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed.

Also at the airport were Nigeria’s Chargé d’Affaires in Rwanda, Ambassador Ibrahim Zanna, as well as the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare.

Established in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media in partnership with the International Finance Corporation, the Africa CEO Forum has grown into the continent’s foremost yearly gathering of business executives, investors, and policymakers.

The summit is aimed at driving Africa’s economic transformation through deeper regional integration, expanded cross-border investments, and stronger collaboration to advance private sector-led growth across the continent.

This year’s edition is themed: “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”

During the event, Tinubu is expected to deliver an address titled “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” where he will outline the progress recorded through Nigeria’s ongoing economic reform initiatives.

The President is also scheduled to engage in bilateral discussions with leading African and international business figures, while reiterating Nigeria’s commitment to influencing Africa’s economic direction.

Tinubu is expected to use the platform to reinforce Nigeria’s dedication to African unity, enhanced regional economic integration, and strategic partnerships that encourage sustainable development driven by the private sector.
