THEY’LL BE SENTENCED DEC. 12! Ikeja court convicts two labourers for stealing cow bones and horns

An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday convicted two labourers, Abubakar Abdullahi, 28, and Abdullahi Ibrahim, 22, for stealing cow bones and horns valued at N1.2 million.

The police charged Abdullahi and Ibrahim with two counts of conspiracy and stealing.

The accused persons pleaded guilty to conspiracy but pleaded not guilty to stealing.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs S. K. Matepo, ordered that the two be remanded in Kirikiri Prisons, pending sentencing on Dec. 12.

Earlier, the Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Innocent Odugbo alleged that the accused stole the cow bones and horns belonging to one Adedotun Ayodele.

Odugbo told the court that the accused committed the offence on Nov. 28 at about 1.30 a.m with others now at large at Abattoir, Oko-Oba, Agege, a Lagos suburb.

The offence, he said, violated the provisions of sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015, (Revised).
