Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has paid tribute to English professional wrestler Benjamin “PAC” Satterley following the performer’s death at the age of 40.
Satterley, widely known to WWE fans as Neville, died on September 27, 2026, a day after appearing at AEW All Out 2026.
His death prompted an outpouring of tributes from across the professional wrestling community.
Johnson addressed Satterley’s passing in a social media video, offering his condolences to the wrestler’s family while reflecting on the close bond shared by performers across different wrestling promotions.
Describing professional wrestling as a close-knit community despite its global reach, Johnson said:
“As global as professional wrestling is, as global as WWE is, as much as AEW is growing into this phenomenal wrestling company, and wherever you’re wrestling at around the world… we’re still a very tight-knit unit and a tight-knit group because we all share the same DNA.
“But when we lose one of our own, it hurts. And when they’re young and so insanely talented, it really f***ing hurts.”
Johnson also acknowledged Satterley’s connections with AEW and WWE, extending his condolences to AEW president Tony Khan, QT Marshall, members of the AEW locker room and his former colleagues in WWE.
“To my friend Tony Khan. I’m so sorry for your loss, my friend QT [Marshall] and to all the locker rooms, the men and women of AEW, I’m so sorry for your loss, and those, of course, my colleagues in WWE who knew him well I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry all around, and to the Satterley family, I wish you love and light.”
Satterley built a career spanning multiple promotions and became particularly recognized for his athletic style and performances in WWE and AEW. His death has since drawn tributes from wrestlers, colleagues and fans across the industry.
Johnson’s message adds to the widespread response to the loss of a wrestler who had established himself as a prominent figure in professional wrestling.
