Published

The Netherlands is planning to lift its ban on travellers from Britain and South Africa as long as they have tested negative for COVID-19, the Transport Minister, Cora Nieuwenhuizen said.

Travellers, who enter the country will then have to remain in quarantine for 10 days, Nieuwenhuizen said.

She said talks were currently underway with airlines and ferry operators about how the tests results should be monitored.

The minister said she could not promise that travel would resume before Christmas.

So far, the Netherlands had recorded 710, 683 cases of coronavirus and 10,633 deaths. (dap/NAN)
