Celebrity stylist and fashion icon Toyin Lawani has moved her followers with updates about her health.
She shared her journey on her Instagram page, showing moments from her major surgery during the filming of the reality series Real Housewives of Lagos.
Her struggles include a brain cyst and a degenerative spine, which have necessitated multiple surgeries.
In addition to these issues, Lawani has faced significant respiratory challenges. She shared that she now uses a tracheostomy tube, which has profoundly affected her ability to breathe and speak.
Toyin said she is thankful to God for the miracles and blessings in her life and family. She has been battling a degenerative spine disease for over a year and a half.
In her post, she said, “Sometimes we don’t see the miracles until we take a step back and watch the journey. It’s been a year and a half now, and all I can say is thank you God for His miracles, mercy, and blessings on me and my family.”
She continued, “It’s been treatments upon treatments. I am glad I could pull big smiles daily, but let’s just thank God for His miracle. Healing can take years. I am working on part two of my healing journey and will be dropping that soon.”
In the past, Toyin has faced significant challenges, including the loss of her fourth child and several surgeries for conditions like fibroids and arthritis.
She revealed that her quick recovery after her third child was not easy, saying she hates showing weakness.
